Summer 2017 is quickly approaching! One of the best ways to ensure that your children spend a lot of their time outside is by having different activities for them to do while outside. This doesn’t need to be something so expensive, but having different toys for your children to play with outside will likely motivate them to spend more time outdoors. Here are some of the best toys for summer 2017.
Volleyball/Badminton Net // These can be found at a variety of retailers such as Dick’s Sporting Goods or even Costco. Most nets are convertible to play both badminton and volleyball and are such a fun way to get everyone outside. Volleyball is a bit more basic compared to badminton, but badminton is easily learned. It’s a great thing to set up for outdoor parties or just for your kids and their friends on any gorgeous summer day.
Sidewalk chalk // The cheapest summer toy and one of the most fun. Sidewalk chalk is a great way for your child to express their artistic ability, all while enjoying the great outdoors. The best thing about it? There is practically no clean up because it will wash off your driveway or sidewalk whenever it rains. If you’re eager to remove it earlier simply spray it with a hose.
Slip n Slide // These are available all over for fairly inexpensive and it is sure to bring your child a day chock full of fun. Slip n Slide’s are typically easy to set up with a simple connection to a hose and you’re ready to go. This is another great option for when your child has playdates because it will surely occupy your kids for a few hours at the very least.
Ladder toss game // This is another great party game! Ladder toss is very simple to play and usually inexpensive on Amazon. This game involves practically zero setup and only involves tossing the strings with spheres at each end to try and get them to land on the rungs of the ladder. This is a perfect game for parties or if your child wants to practice alone or with friends.
Inflatable Water Beach Ball // Another fun water option is this giant blow up beach ball that sprays water all about your yard. This beach ball simply needs a hose hook up and it’s already time for fun. This is a great option if you can’t get to the pool that day where your kids can cool off from the comfort of your own home.
